Trip #107 – Oathill Revisited

Only a short one, but that doesn’t mean to say unproductive. I had an hour to catch as many fish as I could. So off I went with my bag of krill flavoured “big fish” biscuits and some pre-tied hook links.

These Krill flavoured biscuits seemed to have the fish in a bit of a frenzy, and within seconds I was into a fish around 4lbs. A few minutes later and I was into another at 6lbs. These fish were coming thick and fast. My friends then joined me on the bank and all had a few turns catch carp or various sizes.

We snapped through one of the pre-tied hooklinks, with a fish much smaller than the breaking strain, so this didn’t inspire confidence. However, with 8 in a pack, I quickly changed them over and carried on. One of my friends managed a PB Carp of around 6lbs and seemed very pleased with it.

It was a very productive hour and we all left the lake feeling very pleased with ourselves. I’m definitely going to head out there for a few hours of an evening at some point soon!
